Nestlé Taiwan × Sustainable Materials Library | 2020
By weaving sustainability into the fabric of our operations, we reimagined our corporate image wall as a living testament to our circular vision.

Project Objective
Bridging the gap between corporate vision and tangible action, we transformed discarded coffee grounds and logistics pallets into a modular landmark, proving that a circular future is no longer just a concept, but a visible, structural reality.
Process
1: Identify key resources for circular innovation
2:Collaborate with right partners to bridge the gap between vision and reality
3:Transform reclaimed materials into purposeful new forms
4:Validate durability and function through rigorous testing
As the Project Owner, I spearheaded the initiative to reimagine the lifecycle of Nespresso coffee grounds and discarded logistics pallets, turning Nestlé’s daily material flows into a medium for innovation.
Through a partnership I facilitated with the Sustainable Materials Library, an initiative by the Plastic Industry Development Center (PIDC), these resources were reclaimed and elevated, transforming everyday waste into a tangible statement of circular design.
The journey of the wooden pallets involved a meticulous twelve-step restoration, where they were dismantled and re-engineered to form the wall’s structural framework. In a striking fusion of brand and nature, we repurposed coffee grounds as natural pigment, giving the Nestlé logo its unique color and texture, embodying the corporate sustainability narrative through both form and hue.
Designed for longevity, the installation follows modular principles, consisting of twelve detachable panels. This flexible architecture allows the wall to be relocated and reused across different environments, effectively eliminating construction waste.
This project marks more than just a physical build; it signifies the start of a long-term alliance with the PIDC. It is a partnership rooted in shared values, continuing to drive Nestlé Taiwan’s journey toward a truly circular future.
